LOOK OUT FOR NEW MEMBERS OFFER NEXT WEEK.

Hello All
We are sure you have been following the news on the relaxation of some lockdown rules.

The good news is that golf has had some concessions made in that the following groupings will be permitted upon resumption of play:

INITIALLY THIS IS FOR MEMBERS ONLY

• Individuals playing golf on their own.
• Two-balls comprising of individuals from different households
• At the discretion of the golf club, members of the same household playing in two, three or four-balls.

Social distancing rules must be strictly adhered to at all times.

We are going to reopen on Wednesday 13th May with some restrictions in place mainly that we will be following the government requirements and the advice of England Golf and have a booking system and a limit of 2 ball play unless some special family circumstance as above.

We need to set some rules on booking which hopefully we can relax when the course utilisation is better understood. To ensure fairness to all members, we would like to have a fair usage policy. Whilst at this time we will not set a limit on how many days you can book at once we will restrict bookings to 7 days in advance and fair usage. Main restriction for now is that you should only book one weekend date and time for now. However, on a Friday/Saturday afternoon a mail will be sent giving details if Saturday/Sunday slots are still available.

Those that can, maybe could ease this by playing during the week. We will monitor both weekday and weekend bookings to ensure all members have an opportunity to play at peak times.

The Clubhouse will we closed and Alison and Debs are still on Furlough so you can book by phone or text on 07802 688275. We will try to confirm your tee time or offer alternatives as soon as possible. Ideally, between 09:00 – 10:00 or 15:00 – 17:00 although text or call at any time and we will try to answer outside these times.

Please do not just turn up at the clubhouse. If you book a tee time and decide not to play please inform us by calling 07802 688275.

Some practical arrangement:
a. Arrive close to tee off times
b. Change in the car park
c. The clubhouse will be closed
d. Toilets are available if essential
e. Hand cleansing is available when entering or leaving the course
f. Practice putting please give priority for those teeing off
g. Do not touch flag-sticks
h. Ball cleaners, rakes, taps/drinking fountains and benches are out of use
i. Keep self-distancing rules and follow on course signage
j. Leave the course and car park when the round of golf is finished
k. From advice from England Golf buggies will not be available
l. The course is open to members only until further notice

I hope you understand the reasons behind these decisions and hopefully as time goes on booking rules can be relaxed and we will be back to business as usual.

We will ensure regular emails and updates on how things are going.

In the meantime, stay safe and hope to see you all from a few yards away very soon

Kind Regards
Steve Crooke
